Excursion: Day Four - Vitra Campus

Day four started early, because we had a lot of driving ahead of us.  Or sleeping, safe in the bus of Marie, the Super-driver.

On our way through the borderlands of Austria, Switzerland, and Germany, we happened upon the Kunsthaus Bregenz (Bregenz Museum), one of my all time favorites.  We stopped for some quick pictures, since it was a Monday and the museum was closed.  Next time we will definitely go inside.
Lindsay was as excited as I was.

On to Vitra!
Vitra is one of the world's leading furniture manufacturers, and their factory campus is an architectural "Disneyland" of designers.  Think Epcot, but with architects instead of countries represented.  Here's a taste, albeit fragmentary:

Tadao Ando - Conference Center

Zaha Hadid - Fire Station

Frank Gehry - Chair Museum

Herzog & de Meuron - VitraHaus showroom

We didn't spend enough time here, which is my fault with the scheduling.  So much to see and do in Germany!  I'm taking notes, to make next time even better.
